How many ways can you skin a cat?

I hope no one actually skins cats! It's just an old saying. There is usually more than one way to accomplish the same goal which is the subject of this blog post.

I was in the chatroom at www.bigjackpotbetting.com tonight when someone made some comments about my pick in a particular race. I might add that the pick in question won. This person, who I will concede seems to be a pretty good player from all I know, proceeded to take stabs at my play and insinuate it wouldn't be profitable if I kept playing picks like that.

If you recall my last blog post about records it will come as no surprise to you that I know what plays are profitable. It's my job to know. If I don't play profitably then my mortgage doesn't get paid, they reposess my Lincoln and confiscate my fiancee's engagement ring. I am here to tell you that I am not prepared for that to happen.

While I am 100% confident in my ability to play the greyhounds and make a living doing it I will also conceed that there are probably other ways to play and show a profit. I don't have the corner on the market when it comes to greyhound racing. But I do have a profitable line on it. And that is my point.

Do you know how profitable you are? Do you know what plays will show you profit when the year is over and which plays won't?

I do. And one of my greatest pieces of advice to you as a struggling player would be to have a goal of knowing what plays are profitable for you, and which plays aren't.
